When you place an order on our eCommerce store, we appreciate your business and we value your trust. Then it’s up to us to deliver quality service and product, continuing to earn your trust!
Whenever it comes to purchasing online anywhere, it’s important to check the site’s credentials, such as a rating from the Better Business Bureau. Our A+ rating with BBB is one way to verify quality and secure web purchasing with a company you can trust. If a site has a lower rating, even an A-, look up the company at www.BBB.org and read complaints left by customers.
Fraud prevention and protection steps are a critical process that any eCommerce store you choose to do business with should have in place. Here are a few best practices we follow and the “why?” behind them.
When we see an order that is shipping to an address other than the billing address, our fraud protection/prevention team immediately begins a screening and verification process:
Business shipping to business:
- We verify the shipping address exists, and using tools like Google Street View, we visually identify the location and the physical structure.
- We use technology like Authorize.net to verify that the business telephone number matches the business telephone number provided for the order.
- We call the business receiving the order to confirm the person receiving the product is at the location.
Residential shipping to business:
- We verify all addresses following the steps listed above.
- We use tools to verify the business telephone number matches the telephone number provided for the order.
- We call to confirm the person receiving the product at the shipping address is at the location.
Residential shipping to residential:
- We follow all of the steps above AND require a signature upon delivery.
- Our team uses tools to match zip codes to area codes, reverse telephone directories, email address verification, mapping, directions and more.
- If the billing and shipping addresses are not the same you may receive a call from our fraud prevention/protection team. We will walk you through a verification process to protect you and to prevent any attempted fraudulent activity.
- If we can’t reach you via phone or email, we will cancel the order.
Why? Because we value your trust!
Address verification is a protective measure we take to safeguard you against fraud. Read more here about delivery and shipping information.
