The AP 6511E is expressly designed for one of the most challenging wireless LAN environments - dormitory and hotel guest rooms. Standard service personnel can install the AP 6511E in minutes, not hours, using existing category 5 or 6 cabling already in the walls. The AP 6511E includes intelligent self-optimizing self-managing virtual controller feature, which allows a small property to gain the benefits of a central controller, automatic adoption, central configuration and status, and automatic RF management of up to 25 AP 6511E access points - without the cost of a dedicated network management controller.

For larger properties and facilities, the AP 6511E can be managed by Zebra's WiNG Express Manager to scale and seamlessly integrate up to 1,024 indoor and outdoor WiNG Express access points. The easy setup, combined with the WiNG Express management options, means your customers can experience great internet access at a price you can afford.

• Modular Industrial Design
  The mounting bracket features six unique hole patterns to match most any telecom plate worldwide. A keystone snap-in port provides a fast method to connect any secondary cabling behind the wall to the AP. If the snap-in port is not used for a secondary cable, it can be dedicated as a switched Fast Ethernet port. To further add modularity and flexibility in network design, a three port Fast Ethernet Module can be field installed via a snap-in access port.
• Hotspot Access
  The AP 6511E makes it easy for anyone to provide a hotspot guest access with integrated hotspot pages with ability to include personal logo and customizable messages for guest. With just a few clicks, the AP 6511E can be set up to allow guests access to the internet. In addition, AP 6511E supports ability to provision guest access by directing guest access requests to an externally hosted hotspot server.
