The KP3700 is a part of a family of Unitech multifunction keyboards with 104 keys enhanced layout. The KP3700 features re-legendable keys, integrated magnetic stripe card reader (or bar code slot reader), and built-in bar code scanning input port. The keyboards also feature a minimal footprint and protection against damage from liquid spillage.

- DB-9
A DB-9 type squeeze release port at the upper right hand side of the keyboard supports undecoded bar code scanner and RS232 input. Decoded scanners must be capable of Wand Emulation (undecoded scanner) output. Wand, CCD, and laser scanners are supported. - Card-reader slot
A card-reader slot at the upper-left corner of the keyboard provides an enclosure for a built-in dual-track magnetic card reader. Alternatively, this card-reader slot can support a single-track or triple-track magnetic card reader, or a bar code slot reader.
