Intermec's two primary label product lines are Duratran and Duratherm. Duratran products are specially designed for use with Intermec ribbons in thermal transfer printers. Duratherm labels and tags are the preferred solution when used with direct thermal printers.

- Duratherm labels and tags have excellent readability, are durable and require no ribbon to print
- Duratherm products are coated with a heat-sensitive layer which is imaged by direct contact with the print head. The result is a pattern of black dots producing text, bar codes, or graphics
