Vehicle Emission Inspection

States have implemented various forms of Vehicles Emission Testing (I/M) systems. The efficiency and accuracy of these systems is increased by the use of bar code technology.

Several devices exist that are ideal for these applications. What they all have in common is their ability to read the VIN codes on the vehicle and, in many cases, the 2D PDF417 AAMVA codes on registration documents and windshield stickers.
